The governing party Smer-SD is mourning. Its member Dušan Petrík, who was the state secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic in 2012-2014, died.
“Today, at the age of 69, a long-time active person, expert in energy, Ing. Dušan Petrík, left us. We are very sorry for his loss. He was a personality who was undoubtedly a great asset to his surroundings, and his active life will remain an inspiration to those who knew him,” he said on the Smer-SD Žilina social network.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife, sons and all those with whom he shared his final moments. May his memories be a source of respect and peace in these difficult times. Dušan, rest in peace,” added the movement.
