Man sentenced to death after fatal car attack in China

Beijing – A man who drove his car into a crowd of people and killed 35 people has been sentenced to death in China. State television broadcaster CCTV quoted the court as saying the defendant’s motives were “extremely despicable, the methods particularly cruel and the consequences particularly serious.” They represented “significant harm to society.”
