Caixa Econômica Federal announced that the 2024 prize will have a record prize of R$600 million. This value, the highest ever offered in the history of , does not accumulate. If no one matches six tens, the prize will be divided among the bettors who match five tens. Collective bets, known as syndicates, have gained popularity, allowing participants to share both costs and prizes. The Aldeota lottery, in Fortaleza, leads the sales of prizes in Brazil, according to data from Caixa. The owner of the lottery, Alessandro Montenegro, highlighted that the convenience and variety of lottery options are factors that attract players.
The Aldeota lottery stands out for offering convenience to customers, with lottery delivery services by motorcycle courier in the metropolitan region and shipping by mail to other locations. In addition, the lottery has a team of 30 salespeople in dedicated telemarketing. The owner emphasizes the importance of purchasing bets only from lottery outlets authorized by Caixa, guaranteeing security and contributing to the government’s social benefits, as 37.41% of revenue is allocated to social programs. The remainder is used to pay prizes.
To participate in Mega da Virada, bettors can choose from six to 20 numbers per bet, with the cost of a single bet being R$5. Bets can be placed until 6pm on December 31st, with the draw taking place to 8pm on the same day. The chance of winning with a single bet is one in 50 million. The winner will have 90 days to claim the prize. Aldeota has already paid out several main prizes, standing out for offering prize pools with dozens more, increasing bettors’ chances of winning.
