Mother and daughter died after the kitchen floor gave way. The accident was recorded on Thursday (26), in Corbélia, in the west of Paraná. After the incident, the two fell into a pit approximately 10 meters deep.
Mother and daughter were buried by rubble. The rescue of the victims took more than 3 hours. Despite the efforts of rescue teams Ercília Soares, 69 years old and her daughter Elisandra Pereira da Silva, 50 years old. The bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML), in Cascavel.
Currently, the house where the accident occurred has been isolated by firefighters. At first, the causes of the accident that took the lives of mother and daughter were still unclear. The Civil Police are investigating the case.

Elisandra was a lawyer and received honors from the (OAB) subsection of Cascavel, and also from the State University of Western Paraná (Unioeste), where she was doing postgraduate studies.
“The subsection records its deep consternation at such a sad incident and shares its most sincere condolences to family, friends and the community. We direct, in particular, our affection and feelings to the lawyer Marcelo Pereira da Silva, son of Ercília and brother of Elisandra. The legal profession unites in solidarity in this moment of pain”, says the note from OAB Cascavel.
Unioeste described the student as a dedicated, smiling and respectful person. “Elisandra was a student who took full advantage of the activities offered by the University’s Postgraduate Program. Always grateful for the gift of life, smiling, respectful and dedicated to her research on biodiversity and ecosystem services with an emphasis on legal reserves. Unioeste expresses its solidarity with the bereaved family and friends and offers its deepest condolences”, says the note from Unioeste.
