criticized the decision of a judge in Paraná that prohibits , a ride-sharing app that connects drivers, from advertising, offering and offering its services in the state, under penalty of a daily fine of R$50,000.
The front brings together 187 federal deputies and 28 senators. In a statement, the entity says that the decision is “disconnected from reality” and represents a “real attack on economic freedom and innovation”.
“Suspensions like this have dramatic impacts, directly affecting hundreds of thousands of users, especially those who depend on carpooling to travel in regions where public transport is insufficient, whether in quantity or quality”, says the note.
The parliamentary front also states that today there are 44 bills being processed that seek to regulate carpooling activities — and none of them propose a ban.
