The proposal’s main enthusiast, the deputy attorney general of the Republic, says that the institution of a “national Gaeco” is fundamental to combating organized crime.
“New instruments are needed to tackle the infiltration of crime in the State. At the moment, we are not prepared to deal with the problem”, he states.
