A witness caught the exact moment when a military police officer attacks an already immobilized motorcyclistin Lajeado, in Vale do Taquari (RS).
The incident occurred in the early hours of Christmas Eve (24). In the video it is possible to see that the security agent kicks the victimwho is kneeling, in addition to throw the helmet on the ground of the individual. During the action, the other police officer who was following the incident just observed the situation.
Outraged by the violence, a woman who filmed the attack questions the military police if necessary that type of conduct and the two begin to argue. During the discussionthe woman says to the PM “let’s calm down, this is already excessive violence”. Then the police officer invites her to come down and talk.

In a statement, the Military Brigade (BM) says that “it has already become aware of the content of the video that is circulating on social media, in which a possible excess appears during a police approach. We guarantee society that the facts will be investigated with maximum rigor and impartiality, respecting the legal and ethical principles that guide our institution.”
“All applicable legal measures are already being taken, and the necessary internal procedures are already underway to investigate the circumstances of what happened”, states the BM.
