Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu expressed his condolences to the people of Azerbaijan after the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Kazakhstan, the Agerpres agency reported on Friday, writes TASR.

The plane caught fire under unclear circumstances and crashed near the port city of Aktau, which lies on the coast of the Caspian Sea in western Kazakhstan. According to local media reports, the Azerbaijani government believes that the plane was damaged by a missile from the Russian Pancir S air defense system during the Ukrainian drone attack.
