Sustainability is female: Companies with women on the board have better ESG results

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important for companies. It is no longer just about financial institutions that have to invest part of their loans in the green transformation. Rather, the goal is to make your own business, office and production as resource-efficient as possible in order to reduce emissions. The auditing and consulting firm PwC Austria looked at this goal in the 2024 ESG performance ranking. To do this, the 140 companies with the highest sales in the country were screened for their sustainability performance. The transparency of sustainability reporting was examined and measurable improvements compared to the previous year were examined.
