As the end of 2024 approaches, the Algarve and Lisbon are preparing to welcome 2025 with a variety of parties and events that promise a New Year’s Eve with entertainment until dawn.
The Algarve region offers several options to celebrate the start of the new year
: Praia dos Pescadores will be the epicenter of the festivities, with shows by Dino D’Santiago on December 30th and Xutos & Pontapés on the night of the 31st. The countdown will include a laser show, drones and aquatic pyrotechnics, followed by a DJ performance Diego Miranda.
PORTIMÃO: The city is preparing a party on the riverfront, with live music and fireworks over the Arade River, providing a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors.
QUARTEIRA (Loulé): The celebrations include concerts and a pyrotechnic display on the waterfront, attracting thousands of people to bid farewell to 2024 by the sea.
MONTE GORDO (Vila Real de Santo Antônio): Known for its extensive beaches, the town offers a New Year’s Eve party with music and fireworks, guaranteeing fun for all ages.
Other locations in the Algarve, such as Olhão, Tavira, Lagos and Silves, also promise memorable nights.
OLHÃO – Celebrations in Jardim Pescador Olhanense, with local bands and DJs, culminating in a fireworks show over the Ria Formosa.
TAVIRA – Praça da República will be the epicenter of the festivities, with concerts and fireworks over the Roman Bridge.
LAGOS – New Year’s Eve takes place on Avenida dos Descobrimentos, with live music and an impressive fireworks show at midnight.
SILVES – In the historic city, the party includes musical entertainment and fireworks next to the Arade River, creating a magical setting to welcome 2025.
The Portuguese capital is not far behind in New Year celebrations
NEW YEAR FEST 2025: It takes place at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo, with a program that includes tributes to artists such as Ivete Sangalo and Marília Mendonça, as well as DJ sets that guarantee music throughout the night.
LUX FRAGILE: The emblematic nightclub opens its doors at 11pm for the traditional New Year’s Eve party, with resident DJs livening up the dance floor until dawn.
MUSIC BOX: Located in Cais do Sodré, the club presents the “APUPU by Décio” party, with a selection of DJs who promise hot and danceable rhythms to enter 2025.
RICE STUDIOS: In Xabregas, this cultural space welcomes DJ Stingray 313, pioneer of electro and techno from Detroit, accompanied by other artists, guaranteeing an unforgettable electronic night.
TERREIRO DO PAÇO: For those who prefer outdoor celebrations, Praça do Comércio will host free shows by Portuguese artists from 9:30 pm, culminating with a fireworks show at midnight.
