The broadcaster will show 10 games live on open TV and will cover it on the “SporTV” and “Premiere” channels
A Globo on Thursday (Dec 27, 2024) which acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the 2025 Minas Gerais Championship. The agreement expands the broadcaster’s state portfolio, which already includes the rights to the Gaúcho and Pernambucano championships. THE Globo plans to broadcast 10 live games, including matches from 1ª phase, semi-finals and final.
The Campeonato Mineiro will be held from January 18th to March 15th. The 12 participating clubs will be divided into 3 groups of 4 teams in the 1st phase. The leaders of each group and the 2nd place team with the best campaign will advance to the semi-finals, with round-trip matches. The final will also be played over two legs. The two teams with the worst performance will play the 2nd division in 2026.
O SportTVthe group’s subscription channel, will broadcast 12 matches, with at least 7 exclusive. THE Premierea pay-per-view service, will show all América-MG, Atlético-MG and Cruzeiro games and will have complete coverage of the final phase.
In addition to the 3 biggest teams in Minas, the following will compete in the state: Athletic, Aymorés, Betim, Democrat-GV, Itabirito, Pouso Alegre, Tombense, Uberlândia and Villa Nova.
