The author and screenwriter Gloria Perez76, used social media this Saturday (28) to mourn the 32nd anniversary of her daughter’s death, Daniella Perez. The actress was murdered by her fellow actor William of Paduaand his ex-wife, Paula Thomazon December 28, 1992.
“12/28/92. No, time doesn’t soften anything”, said the author in the caption of the publication made on , along with a sequence of photos of her daughter.
At the time of , Daniella starred alongside Pádua in the soap opera “Corpo e Alma”, written by . She played Yasmin and her career was on the rise, gaining notoriety and being considered “Brazil’s sweetheart”.
The actress was found dead in a bush in the west of Rio de Janeiro, with around 16 to 22 stab wounds to her body. She was 22 years old at the time.
Pádua and Thomaz were sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder by a popular jury. The couple separated after the arrest and, years later, the actor became an evangelical pastor at a church in Belo Horizonte. , as a result of a heart attack. Thomaz changed his name and is free.
