It is the third dismissal in two days. After ULS Lezíria and Alto Alentejo, SIC knows that the Board of Directors of ULS Leiria will leave at the end of the year.
SIC knows that in the place of Joaquim Araújo, a career hospital administrator in the position since 2020, Miguel Lopes, current secretary general of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators, is taking over.
Without clarifying the specific reason for the dismissal, the Board of Directors makes it clear in a farewell message on the Lezíria Local Health Unit page that “by decision of the Ministry of Health, the journey has now come to an end”.
From January onwards, the Lezíria ULS will be led by Pedro Marques, from the PSD. Teresa Rodrigues assumes the role of clinical director of hospital care.
