The transfer window in the European market already has changes planned, and Trent Alexander-Arnold wasted no time in positioning himself as one of the likely changes. The right-back had already warned his club, Liverpool, that he does not intend to continue defending the Reds next season.
According to the newspaper Marca, Trent stated that he wants to go to Real Madrid, which has been looking for another important signing. Still, resolving the agreement in January is still a distant reality, as the contract with the English club runs until June 2025.
Despite this, it is possible to sign a pre-contract with another team from January 1st, which would be according to Arnold’s wishes. The conversation between the player and Liverpool took place during the attempt to renew the current contract.
