The mayor () intends to announce this Saturday (28) two more names that will make up the secretariat for his second term. Councilors Sidney Cruz (MDB) and Rodrigo Goulart (PSD) should assume the Housing and Labor portfolios, respectively.
With this, substitutes Paulo Frange (MDB) and Carlos Bezerra Junior (PSD) will take up vacancies in the City Council of .
Goulart’s choice is already certain and will be made official this Saturday. Cruz’s is considered very likely, but it will still be discussed with the MDB bench, as there are other councilors from the party who could also occupy the post, such as Fabio Riva (government leader), João Jorge (current vice-president) and Sandra Santana.
Goulart is a businessman in the bar and restaurant sector and was the rapporteur for the revisions of the Master Plan and the Zoning Law of São Paulo in the current legislature. He is the son of former councilor and former federal deputy Antônio Goulart.
Cruz is a lawyer and in his first term he was rapporteur of the municipal budget from 2022 to 2024 and rapporteur of the bill that authorized the capital’s accession to the privatization of Sabesp.
