Agreement was approved by 94.2% of the club’s board and is valid for the broadcast of the team’s games in the Brasileirão
The São Paulo Futebol Clube and the TV Globo signed a new contract to broadcast the team’s games in Series A of the Brazilian Championship. This agreement, valid from 2025 to 2029, was approved by the club’s Deliberative Council in a vote held between Thursday (Dec 26) and Friday (Dec 27).
The vote had broad support, with 195 votes in favor, representing 94.2% of the total, 7 votes against (3.38%) and 5 abstentions (2.42%).
O Poder360 found that the values negotiated annually exceed those of the previous contract by at least 30%, although specific financial details were not disclosed.
The contract guarantees the broadcaster exclusivity in broadcasting São Paulo games as host. In addition, the clubs that are part of Libra (Brazilian Football League) — which includes Flamengo, Palmeiras, São Paulo, Atlético-MG, Bahia, Grêmio, Red Bull Bragantino, Santos and Vitória — also have an exclusive contract with the TV Globe.
