What is certain, however, is that there is nothing great or exceptionally nutritionally special about white bread. If you want to replace them with something else from time to time, then go ahead. You can try this bread for example. It is said that it is the healthiest bread in the world, because it helps with weight loss and can reduce cholesterol. How is that even possible? It’s made from oatmeal.
You may notice that various oatmeal pastry recipes often come from Ireland. Originally, oats were historically one of the main cereals here, and so traditional bread is made from it.

Fruit flakes are a relatively healthy ingredient that offers many different beneficial substances. It is very important that it contains soluble fiber, which is also called betaglucan.
This lowers the level of LDL, i.e. bad cholesterol. In addition, it also helps regulate blood sugar levels, which can promote weight loss, but it can also help those with diabetes. It also contributes to the function of the digestive system. And as is known, this in turn leads to better overall health, as the intestinal microflora is closely related to the body’s defenses.
Baking bread from oatmeal
Since this pastry is made from oatmeal, it may seem like it will be too dense and dry. However, it is not true. The oat flakes break up very quickly in the dough and form a nice mass, quite similar to a classic white flour dough. However, oatmeal does not contain gluten. That is why such pastries would not rise well. For this reason, yeast or yeast is not added to this bread, but a teaspoon of baking soda.
And what else goes into such bread? There are many recipes. It is very common to combine oatmeal with regular flours. The bread you could see in the video post is very plain and also a bit boring. Prepare 100 grams of chopped figs, eggs, 250 grams of flakes, 2 spoons of honey, 1 and a half spoons of baking soda, 2 teaspoons of salt, 150 grams of wholemeal flour, 2 spoons of chia seeds, 3 spoons of peeled pumpkin seeds, 1 spoon of sunflower seeds and 600 grams Greek yogurt.
The preparation of this bread is not difficult either. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and prepare a greased or baking paper-lined form, baking pan or pot.
Start by mixing the dry ingredients separately and the liquids separately. Then mix both together in a large bowl, prepare your mold. Make a nice compact bun and put the dough in the mold. You can smooth the surface with a wooden spoon dipped in water.
Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes without the lid. Before finishing baking, test the doneness with a skewer, the color should be a beautiful golden brown. Allow this bread to cool well before slicing.
