A plane crash at Muan airport (South Korea) leaves at least 23 dead

At least 23 people have died as a result of and plane crash which took place early this Sunday at the Muan International Airport, a southwestern city of South Koreawhen a plane left the runway and crashed into a fence.

The accident occurred around 9:07 a.m. (local time) this Sunday during a landing maneuver of a Jeju Air flight from Bangkok carrying 175 passengers and six crew membersaccording to police and fire sources cited by the South Korean news agency Yonhap.

The country’s authorities have already started an investigation on the ground to clarify the exact causes of the incidentof which no further details have been released at the moment, and they also continue to carry out rescue operations.
