Black boxes from crashed plane in South Korea recovered

⁠The black boxes of the South Korean plane that crashed at Muan International Airport on Saturday night, 28, were recovered, according to authorities. They store flight data and voice recordings.

Authorities said that, from the videos released, it appeared that the plane’s landing gear was not turned off. However, they say a detailed investigation will be carried out, using flight data recorded in the black box.

The runways at the international airport will be closed until 5am local time on January 1st (5pm Brasília time on December 31st), according to authorities.

Rescue work is still ongoing.
