Quinteros arrives at the Tricolor club to replace Renato Gaúcho

The officially announced this Saturday (28) the hiring of the coach. The Argentine coach, naturalized Bolivian, signed an agreement until the end of 2025. Quinteros will lead a Brazilian team for the first time in his career. He was in Argentina, where he was champion of the last national championship. “Gustavo Quinteros is Tricolor! With experience in the Bolivia and Ecuador national teams, the coach was multiple champion for South American clubs and won the Argentine championship this year. The coach arrives at Imortal for the 2025 season. Welcome!”, Grêmio posted on social media.

Quinteros arrives at the Tricolor club to replace. “For me, as a coach, it is an honor that my name is mentioned, that it is remembered, that it is among the possibilities. Difficult things motivate me. I really defend my work, I really defend the effort, the work, the dreams, the motivation of the players”, said the new Grêmio coach. Technical assistants Leandro Desábato, Maximiliano Quezada and Rodrigo Quinteros also arrive at the club, as well as physical trainer Hugo Roldán. Quinteros should disembark in Porto Alegre in the next few days.

The coach is 59 years old and has spent time at clubs such as San Lorenzo, Universidad Católica, Bolívar, Al-Nassr, Al-Wasl, Colo-Colo, among others. Grêmio even negotiated with Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinha who, however, preferred to accept the Santos proposal.
