Civil Police carried out search and seizure warrants at properties owned by Poubel and content creator Jonatan Martins Pacheco
The São Paulo Civil Police is investigating influencer Ruyter Poubel, aged 27, for the crime of electronic fraud due to the promotion of online betting houses, the so-called ““. On Friday (Dec 27, 2024), 14 search and seizure warrants were executed on properties in the States of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Norte.
According to G1, among the addresses were properties linked to Ruyter and digital influencer Jonatan Martins Pacheco. There is no information about what was seized. The collected objects were sent for analysis.
The operation, called Faketech, mobilized 41 civil police officers and 16 vehicles, in addition to 22 agents in São Paulo and 19 in other states. The investigation remains confidential.
According to G1, Poubel is suspected of selling courses on how to play on digital platforms, profiting from the losses of his followers. Along with Jonatan Martins Pacheco, the influencer would have created his own betting houses and companies involved in the financial transaction scheme.
On social media, Ruyter Poubel has more than 20 million followers. The influencer displays a luxurious life, with luxury cars, trips and flaunting money.
