The mayor of Jundiaí, (), must assume the executive secretariat of and Partnerships of the mayor’s new administration (). The announcement is only scheduled for January, at Machado’s request.
Created by João Doria during his time at City Hall and treated as a “jewel in the crown”, the department became an executive secretariat, subordinate to the Government secretariat, and remains so to this day.
The current person responsible for the executive secretariat is Clodoaldo Pelissioni, who will assume the Planning and Efficiency portfolio.
With Machado’s appointment, Nunes assesses that the PL is sufficiently included in its management.
The party has a vice-president, with Colonel Ricardo Mello Araújo, who will also hold an executive secretariat for Strategic Projects, and a secretariat for the Environment, with Rodrigo Ashiuchi, current mayor of Suzano. The PL asked for the Education secretariat, but Nunes decided to keep Fernando Padula in the post.
Part of the PL bench in the City Council, however, remains dissatisfied and argues that the party should have another portfolio in Nunes’ second term.
