Waves have been hitting the entire coastline of Piura and its northern neighbor Tumbes since Wednesday (December 25), local media reported.
According to a report by the Peruvian Navy released on Friday, waves in the coastal area are expected to last until Wednesday (January 1), although it is possible that abnormal waves will continue beyond that date.
