A 17-year-old girl, seven months pregnant, died in a serious accident on the PR-487 highway, in Manoel Ribas, in the central region of Paraná, in the early hours of this Sunday (29). According to information from the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv) of the Paraná Military Police, the victim, identified as Larissa dos Santos Redel, was the passenger in the car driven by her husband, which lost control and crashed into a tree, next to the road. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was rescued with injuries and taken to hospital.
According to , the accident occurred around 3:30 in the morning, close to the city’s Gaucho Traditions Center. According to the police, the young woman was attended to by rescuers from the Fire Department, but died when admitted to the Manoel Ribas Municipal Hospital. Thus, it was not possible to even attempt to deliver the baby she was expecting.

The highway police recovered the accident vehicle. The Civil Police and Scientific Police then investigate the circumstances of the accident. So far, the young woman’s family has not released information about the wake and burial of the body.
