The aircraft had taken off from Bangkok (Thailand) towards Muan, where the crew identified a problem with the landing gear activation.

Images circulating online indicate that the Jeju Air plane had its landing gear retracted during landing and touched the ground with its belly. In the videos it is also possible to see that the aircraft was unable to reduce its speed, collided with a wall outside the runway and exploded. It is not yet known what caused the accident.
