The unit air traffic control fee, paid by airlines to NAV, will fall to R$163.30 in 2025, around R$10 less than the amount applied this year, according to an ordinance published this Monday.
“The quantitative terminal unit fee used to calculate the terminal fee due for terminal air navigation services provided at the airports and aerodromes mentioned in the previous article is set at R$ 163.30”, says the ordinance signed by the secretary of State of Infrastructure, Hugo Espírito Santo, and published in the Official Gazette of the Union.
The fee applies at the airports of Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Madeira, Porto Santo, Santa Maria, Ponta Delgada, Horta and Flores and also at the Cascais Municipal Aerodrome, where NAV Portugal provides terminal air navigation services.
This value is determined by the Government, after opinion from the National Civil Aviation Authority ().
The terminal fee is charged for carrying out approach and aerodrome air traffic control operations, including the use of radio aids required for landing or takeoff and is set per metric ton unit of maximum takeoff weight.
