Breaking off contact in the family: How do siblings experience the consequences?

In a discussion shortly before Christmas, the loss of contact with parents was discussed. Much of this important discussion involves individuals reporting their bilateral situation to one or both parents. However, family systems are often of much greater complexity. My question is therefore aimed at the siblings of all those who have largely turned their backs on the co-parenting situation or have broken off contact completely. How are you doing with that? Do you have the feeling that your parents “stayed” with you? Are your siblings still emotionally available to you?
