Almost better than fabric softener
Seriously, white vinegar can do a lot. You can use it as fabric softener, for example. Not only will it soften your fabrics beautifully, but it will remove all the mess that doesn’t belong there. Whether it’s animal hair or the remains of creams, make-up, perfume. All you have to do is put ½ glass of white vinegar together with the washing powder (or gel) in the fabric softener container. And then the magic happens!
Natural bleach
Make no mistake, vinegar still has a few tricks up its sleeve. Did you know that it is a great bleach? So if you have any stains on your laundry, be sure to wash it with a little vinegar. We are not saying that all blemishes and blemishes will disappear, but at least they will be reduced. “Vinegar will also help you remove colored fibers that are created, for example, by washing colored and light-colored items together,” recommends the expert. And be careful – that’s not all!
Color fixer
Washing with vinegar also has the advantage of strengthening the colors of dark laundry. At the same time, vinegar also acts as a “color fixer”. “In other words, it will intensify and support the rich shade of darker clothes,” says the expert, adding that vinegar also absorbs odors, so if you wash some sweaty t-shirts from the gym, there won’t even be a trace of an unpleasant odor in a while.
A great fragrant option
But if you like scented laundry, you can make your own fabric softener from the vinegar base. How to do it: Prepare a liter plastic bottle. Halfway pour vinegar and then top up with water. Finally, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to give your fabric softener a pleasant scent. For example, lavender is beautiful, but orange, tangerine or other fresh citrus scents also smell nice. Store the mixture in a dry and dark place and use it as a variant of the classic fabric softener.
Finally, one more benefit…
According to washing machine repairmen, washing with vinegar is also beneficial because it disinfects and cleans the washing machine itself. It sometimes happens that chemical residues and mold spores remain in the washing machine during washing, which then creates a sub-mushroom for the growth of various yeasts and bacteria. And that’s not so much of a threat after the vinegar cleaning.
