An accident between a car and a motorcycle left a young woman with a broken leg, in the Cabral neighborhood, in Curitiba. The collision happened on Via Rápida, towards Santa Cândida, close to the intersection with Avenida Munhoz da Rocha, on Sunday night (29).
The collision was recorded when a driver of a Renault Kwid was trying to leave a gas station to access the Expressway. However, when the woman entered the road, she was hit on the side by a motorcycle that was traveling along the fast lane. With the impact, the young driver of the motorcycle was thrown and suffered a leg injury.
“Initially, he has a suspected fracture in his right leg. It wasn’t a low-intensity crash,” said Corporal Hamilton, from the Fire Department.

The driver of the car, who lives in Italy and is on vacation in Brazil, reported that she tried to access the Via Rápida, when she was hit by the motorcycle. However, the driver’s version is contested by a witness, who claims that the woman tried to cross all lanes of Rápida, to avoid going around the block.
“She left the station, heading towards the third lane, to go to Munhoz da Rocha. Totally wrong”, commented the witness.
The driver of the car was not injured, while the motorcyclist was taken to Cajuru Hospital with a suspected broken leg.
