Access to hospital emergencies in Gynecology and Obstetrics, as well as Pediatrics, will be restricted during the New Year period, with eight services closed on Tuesday and six the following day, according to the SNS Emergency Scales.
This Monday, the pediatric emergencies at Ponte de Lima Hospital and the Basic Emergency Service of Monção and the Gynecology and Obstetrics emergency department at Abrantes Hospital are closed.according to data consulted by the Lusa agency at 1 pm on the SNS Portal.
In addition to the three closures, 14 emergency services have restrictions todayreceiving only internal emergency cases or those referred by the Urgent Patient Guidance Center (CODU) of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) and by the SNS24 line (808242424).

According to the schedules, the pediatric emergencies at the Ponte de Lima Hospital, the Basic Emergency Service of Monção, the Beatriz Ângelo Hospital, in Loures, the Torres Vedras District Hospital and the Peniche Hospital.
O Hospital de Abrantes and Hospital Distrital das Caldas da Rainha have the Gynecology and Obstetrics emergency department closed, while Peniche Hospital has the general emergency department closed.
On New Year’s Day, the number of closed emergency rooms drops to six, with the opening of the general emergency room at Peniche Hospital and the fact that the Gynecology and Obstetrics emergency room at Hospital Beatriz Ângelo is referenced.

As emergencies of these specialties in the hospitals of Cascais, Amadora-Sintra, Santa Maria, São Francisco Xavier, both in Lisbon, Beatriz Ângelo (today and Tuesday), Caldas da Rainha, Vila Franca de Xira, Braga, Leiria and in the Maternal Center Infantil do Norte will only be receiving internal cases and those referred by CODU/INEM and Line SNS 24.
O Amadora-Sintra Hospital also has pediatric emergency referenced between 00:00 and 08:00 and 20:00 and 24:00.
