Even with the union of the city hall and the state government, which will hold New Year’s Eve together, in the parking lot of the Arena da Floresta stadium, the traditional fireworks display in Bairro da Base will also be maintained.

The homes were purchased with support from the city hall. “The community will celebrate New Year’s Eve with fireworks, yes, it’s already a tradition of ours. There will be parties in bars, like Zé do Branco, for example, and we will have tents for families to celebrate”, says party organizer Ted Fogueteiro.
According to Ted Fogueteiro, the fireworks were about to arrive, and expectations are high for the organization of the fireworks.
“It hasn’t arrived yet, but it’s supposed to be here. We’re just waiting for it to arrive to put everything together”, explained Ted
Ted Fogueteiro also informed that the rules will be obeyed and the fireworks will be just colors and lots of brightness, but without the noise that bothers the animals so much.
“It will be colors, just colors. Whether it’s a lot or a little, but we can’t stop doing it, as it’s a tradition in our community here at the base. The residents are united and it will be very beautiful,” he highlighted.
