The trail of kings and rabbits on the Royal Route leads through the picturesque streets of Gniezno, revealing further attractions to visitors. There are numerous rabbit figures along the route, which act as guides and tell interesting stories related to Gniezno. Each rabbit has its own name and a unique story, which makes sightseeing a real adventure. Children can participate in special games and activities that help them better understand the history of the city and develop their imagination. There are also interactive information boards along the route that present the most important events and people related to Gniezno in an accessible way.
The first female rabbit on the Royal Route in Gniezno
Gniezno proves that it is a modern city that remembers history. A new sculpture has appeared on a popular city trail. This is the first female figurine on the Royal Route. On the trail of kings and rabbits, we discover the figures of the first rulers and kings of Poland and the history of the city presented in the form of funny sculptures of 15 rabbits, joined by the sixteenth – a female rabbit symbolizing the developing alternative culture of active Gniezno. The sculpture was located next to the most popular walking and recreational area around Lake Jelonek (Gniezno’s Venice). The figurine was “unwrapped” on December 24, 2024, as a Christmas gift for residents.
