Jessica Athayde used her Instagram account on the morning of Monday, December 30, to pay tribute to her mother, who turns 74 today.
The actress published a set of photos with her mother and also of her with her grandson Oliver, aged 5, and in the caption she ‘opened her heart’ about the importance of a mother in a child’s life.
“My dancing queen has a birthday today. Being a mother is probably one of the most thankless roles in our lives, we give what we have and don’t have, it’s industrial doses of love without asking for anything in return and one day we have to accept that our children don’t belong to us, that they are going to leave the nest, that they will be who they want to be and not who we want them to be.”began by reflecting.
Jessica Athayde later recalled the moment she left her parents’ house and the way she did it – “without looking back” – and ended with a declaration of love.
“I realized the harshness of this only after becoming a mother. I realize that I was quite unfair when I decided to leave the nest without looking back…. and I hope my son never does that to me. That’s what life is, living, making mistakes, learning and enjoying what’s left of life. I hope I can still enjoy my dear mother a lot. Happy birthday mom”it ended.
