JUDGMENT

The Israeli leader is accused of 3 separate corruption cases presented in 2019: Case 1000, Case 2000 and Case 4000, which include allegations of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

If found guilty, the prime minister could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and/or pay a fine.

Netanyahu denies wrongdoing and has already argued that the investigations against him are an attempted coup d’état by police and Justice Ministry officials.

Case 1000: Known as the “gifts” case, the prime minister is accused of fraud and breach of trust and involves allegations that Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, received luxurious gifts from businessmen Arnon Milchan, an Israeli Hollywood film producer, and from Australian billionaire James Packer, in exchange for political favors (release of American visa and approval of laws).

Case 2000: is also accused of fraud and breach of trust for negotiating with Israel’s main daily, Yedioth Ahronoth, favorable coverage in exchange for legislation that would slow the growth of a rival newspaper.

Case 4000: accused of fraud, breach of trust and bribery; suspected of granting regulatory favors to Israel’s leading telecommunications company, Bezeq Telecom Israel, in exchange for positive coverage of him and his wife on a news website controlled by Bezeq’s former chairman.
