Paraná coast has three more deaths due to drowning; see the General Balance Sheet

This Monday’s General Balance (30) shows that the weekend was tragic on the coast of Paraná. On Saturday alone (28), the Fire Department confirmed three deaths due to drowning. Furthermore, a 12-year-old teenager has been missing since Sunday (29). Since the beginning of Operation Summer, seven deaths have been recorded.

According to information from the Fire Department, those killed on Saturday were between 15 and 21 years old. The incidents were recorded in Matinhos and Guaratuba, cities that receive the largest number of tourists in the summer.

All cases occurred in areas that are not protected by Lifeguards. The confirmed deaths are of a 21-year-old young man, born in Curitiba, and two 15-year-old teenagers, one resident of Joinville and the other resident of the capital of Paraná.

The person still being sought by fire teams was also swimming in an unprotected place, in the Praia Grande resort. The searches resumed on Monday morning, but so far he has not been found.

The BG also shows that the number of jellyfish and caravels has increased on the coast of Paraná. According to official figures, burns caused by animals increased by 157.57% this season compared to the previous year.

In less than 10 days, between December 20th and 28th, there were two thousand accidents of this type, according to data from the Fire Department. The largest number of attacks happened this past weekend.

Jellyfish usually appear in the summer due to the increase in water temperature. In the event of a burn, the recommendation is that bathers immediately leave the water and seek assistance from a lifeguard.

Influencer causes controversy by calling residents of Ilha do Mel “ugly”

The General Balance also brings the incident caused by an influencer from Santa Catarina who recorded a prejudiced video on Ilha do Mel, stating that she had never seen “so many ugly people together”.

In a post on social media, the woman, who identifies herself only as Gi, states that she had the same impression on a previous visit to the island.

“We are in Encantadas, on Ilha do Mel and, so, I have been here again and it was the same perception I had. I’ve never seen so many ugly people together. Seriously guys, I’m from Santa Catarina and the difference is clear. I’m far from being the most beautiful person in the world, but Santa Catarina is 10 to 0,” says the influencer.

Faced with the repercussions, he recorded another video, alongside a resident, apologizing for the previous post.

An influencer from Blumenau-SC caused controversy on social media when she stated that she only found "ugly people" on your tour of Ilha do Mel, on the coast of Paraná. In one post, the woman, who identifies herself only as Gi, states that she had the same impression on a previous visit to the island.
