The scheduled a meeting for January 6, in , to discuss the spaces allocated to the party in the second term of (). Leaders are divided regarding the topic.
The party will have the vice-mayor, with the colonel, who will hold the executive secretariat for Strategic Projects, and the secretariat for the Environment, with Rodrigo Ashiuchi, current mayor of Suzano. Furthermore, the mayor of Jundiaí, Luiz Fernando Machado, will head the executive secretariat for Privatization.
The PL also asked for the Education secretariat, but Nunes decided to keep Fernando Padula in the post.
In conversations with the mayor and his secretaries, state deputy André do Prado (PL), president of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, and Valdemar Costa Neto, president of the PL, were satisfied with the composition.
Among municipal leaders, however, there is an assessment that the party’s bench in the Chamber was not properly included, even though it went from two councilors elected in 2020 to seven in 2024.
This dissatisfaction and possible reactions will be discussed at the meeting scheduled with the party’s national leadership.
