White clothes begin to turn gray and yellow over time. In this case, however, we do not have to use chemical detergents, because all we need to do is try simple home remedies that will restore the color of our fabrics. We can use a product from our home medicine cabinet for this purpose.
An effective and very easy way to make your hair perfectly white is to reach for a certain tablet in your home medicine cabinet. We’re talking about aspirin. It has whitening properties, so it will be perfect for this purpose, and it will also remove gray deposits and stains, additionally softening fabrics.
If you want to use it, you must, of course, select clothes appropriately according to colors. We put what we want to be bleached in the washing machine. Additionally, add aspirin to the drum, using 4-6 tablets. In addition, we add the standard detergents we use and set the wash to 60 degrees.
If we choose a lower temperature, the tablets may not dissolve. However, if we are concerned about our clothes and want to wash them in cooler water, we should use powdered aspirin.

Aspirin is not the only home remedy to restore the snow-white color of our laundry. We can also use table salt. It’s enough that we pour four tablespoons of the product into the washing machine drum and set the appropriate washing program. Salt will not only effectively remove stains and protect the color, but will also soften the fabrics.
It’s also worth using vinegar, which will effectively whiten the materials. At the same time, it is a preventive measure, and adding it to the detergent drawer as a substitute for fabric softener will soften the water. This is important because Its hardness often contributes to the loss of the snow-white color of clothes. However, remember to use white vinegar.
Many people also use baking soda, which deeply penetrates fabrics, restoring their white color. What’s more, it removes stains very well. Just add half a cup of baking soda to the laundry along with the detergent you usually use and wash as usual.
After washing our clothes, we also need to dry them properly so that they retain their whiteness. A good way is to hang the fabrics in the sun because solar radiation supports the whitening of fabrics and preserves their snowy shade.
Of course, we can also use tumble dryers, but remember to use lower temperature programs and a gentle drying cycle so as not to damage the fabrics. Thanks to this, we will keep our white clothes fresh for longer.
