Three deaths from drowning were confirmed this Saturday (28), on the coast of Paraná. According to information from the Fire Department, the victims are between 15 and 21 years old and the incidents were recorded in Matinhos and Guaratuba, cities that receive the largest number of tourists in the summer.
Both incidents involving deaths were recorded on Saturday afternoon (28), and occurred in areas that are not protected by Lifeguards. The confirmed deaths are of a 21-year-old young man, born in Curitiba, and two 15-year-old teenagers, one resident of Joinville and the other resident of the capital of Paraná.

The most serious incident this Saturday (28) took place in Guaratuba, between the Coroados II and Coroados I Lifeguard Stations (PGV). Around 5pm, a group of four friends, who were on the coast to celebrate the end of the year festivities de ano, drowned while diving, around 5pm.
The Fire Department was called and managed to rescue two teenagers. However, two other boys submerged. A 15-year-old boy, resident of Joinville (SC), was found around 10 minutes later, but did not survive. During the night, the body of another 15-year-old teenager, resident of Curitiba, was found and recognized by the family.
The two teenagers were playing together when they drowned.
Young man drowns in Matinhos
The other death this Saturday (28) was recorded in Caiobá, in the city of Matinhos. At around 4:35 pm, rescuers from PGV Pipeline spotted two victims drowning in the Molhe region. Firefighters quickly entered the water and managed to rescue one of the victims. However, a 21-year-old boy was swept away by the current.
About 5 minutes later, rescuers located the victim and managed to bring him to the sand strip for treatment. However, the Curitiba resident did not resist.
