Experts have determined the period when the next serious magnetic storm is expected.
According to the preliminary forecast, its waves will reach the surface of the planet on January 4. The power of this natural phenomenon is estimated at the level of four out of nine possible.
However, it should be noted that this is the minimum expected threshold, and the storm could be much more intense. At present, experts cannot accurately predict the magnitude of the new storm, but it is expected to affect the Earth for about six hours.
We recall the mechanism by which a magnetic storm is formed. This occurs as a result of solar flares, which are accompanied by solar wind emissions. This flux negatively affects the Earth’s magnetosphere, which functions as a protective shield against cosmic radiation.
Although scientists still debate how much these storms influence human health, medical staff in hospitals and ambulances observe, on such days, a significant increase in cases of strokes, heart attacks and hypertensive crises. This can be explained logically: the human body, being traversed by numerous electrical processes, reacts to magnetic incidents in the environment.
Scientists also classify magnetic storms by color. Level four corresponds to light red, five to bright red, and six to burgundy.
