The 1st level secretaries of Bocalom’s administration still do not know who will remain in office from 2025, when the mayor’s second term begins.
Bocalom has avoided discussing the matter, even with closest leaders, guarantee sources linked to the head of the municipal executive.

In addition to rethinking the formation of part of his secretariat, the mayor is also tasked with including councilors from his base, who were defeated in the 2024 elections, in the team — namely, João Marcos Luz, Lene Petecão and N Lima.
O ContilNet spoke with Bocalom on Monday afternoon (30) and, at the time, the mayor confirmed that he will make changes to the team, but that these will not be considerable.
“The changes will be small, but I don’t want to talk about that now,” he argued.
The mayor guaranteed that, at the beginning of January, he will appoint just a few people to take care of the main portfolios. The decision that will make the secretaries official for the next term will only be taken when Bocalom returns from vacation, starting on January 20th.
“The people who were with us in this difficult process that was the year 2024 need to rest. The budget will close around the 20th and, from that point on, we will decide what the team will look like”, he concluded.
Asked about speculation surrounding the possible departure of Secretary Nabiha Bestene, of Education, and about which portfolios the defeated councilors will go to, Bocalom preferred not to address the matter:
“We will discuss this at the appropriate time.”
