Brazilian Danilo’s story with Juventus has ended, and the hopscotch captain is now free to seek new paths. However, it is not this time that he intends to return to Brazil, evaluating proposals to remain in Europe.
Since 2019, the player has defended Velha Senhora, but is out of Thiago Motta’s squad starting next season. The future now seems to be headed towards Napoli, current co-leader of the Italian Championship with Atalanta.
The club has already made an official proposal to the Brazilian, who appears to be interested in defending Antônio Conte’s team. However, Danilo received offers from other leagues, and his future has not yet been decided.
The certainty is that Juve will leave – on the club’s next trip to compete in the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup this Friday (3) in Saudi Arabia, Danilo will no longer go with the team, leaving out the duel with Milan.
As of January, the former Juventus captain can now look for a new club, even if his contract lasts until June 30, 2025. With no intention of keeping him, the team must approve his release.
This is essentially due to the high salary paid to Danilo, in addition to the desire to change the leadership that dominated the team in the past, taking Juventus towards a new phase.
In Brazil, Danilo was targeted by Vasco a month ago, in addition to being of interest to Flamengo, a team for which he has already played. However, no negotiations were opened, resulting in the player opting to remain in Europe for longer.
Before Juve, the team with which he won an Italian championship, a Super Cup and two Italian Cups, he played for Manchester City, in England. Previously, he played for América-MG, the club that revealed him, Santos, Porto and Real Madrid.
