The year 2025 will have 6 holidays that may be extended. In addition to the Carnival and Easter periods, 4 dates will fall on a Thursday, making it possible to amend the weekend.

- Carnaval (March 1st to March 4th) – Saturday to Tuesday;
- Passion of Christ in Tiradentes (Apr 18 to Apr 21) – Friday to Monday;
- Labor Day (May 1st to May 4th) – Thursday to Sunday;
- Corpus Christi (June 19th to June 22nd) – Thursday to Sunday;
- Black Awareness Day (Nov 20 to Nov 23) – Thursday to Sunday;
- Natal (Dec 25 to Dec 28) – Thursday to Sunday.
For those planning to travel or rest during Carnival, the date will fall on Tuesday (March 4). However, the celebrations may be extended, as Monday (March 3) is optional, allowing it to be combined with the holiday. Counting the previous weekend, it will be possible to enjoy 4 days in a row.
The date of the Passion of Christ, known as Holy Friday, will also be extended. The holiday will fall on the Friday before Easter Sunday and will be followed by the Tiradentes holiday on the Monday (April 21). Therefore, it will be possible to have 4 days of rest in April (18 April to 21 April).
The Labor Day, Corpus Christi, Black Awareness Day and Christmas holidays will fall on a Thursday, allowing extension until Sunday. These holidays take place in the months of May, June, November and December.
Only the months of February, July and August will not have national holidays.
