POST 2 OF 2
The confirmation of the death of Kelvyn Henrique Mendes Líbanio, aged 12, which occurred last Sunday (29), in the Praia Grande resort, in Matinhos, on the coast of Paraná, caused great commotion among the boy’s family friends.
The teenager’s body was found in the Florida resort, also in Matinhos, on Monday (30) and, since then, Kelvyn’s sister’s profile has recorded the last tributes to the boy. Andressa Vilela’s page, which concentrated the current of faith and hope so that the boy would be found alive, then became the place to say goodbye to the young man he dreamed of being.
“My condolences, at this moment no words will take away this pain of grief, but God is with you and will help to comfort you”, wrote a friend of Andressa. The mother of one of Kelvyn’s friends remembered the happy moments her daughter spent with the boy. “I saw you as a baby, I played with my girl and today God took you into his arms. May you have eternal rest in the arms of the Father and may he comfort your family who will stay here. And when they look up, they can feel you next to them. Thank you for the smiles and happiness you brought to everyone around you”, says part of the message.
Friends describe the moments of agony at the time of the drowning
Some friends who were on the beach when Kelvyn was carried away by the sea current also lamented the teenager’s death and commented on the effort made by those trying to save the boy.
“My condolences, may God comfort the hearts of all of you at this difficult time. I was there when he drowned, it was very sad. Only those who were present know the strength that was exerted by the firefighters to rescue him. Over time, God will ease the pain, but the longing will be eternal, he is certainly in a good place”, wrote a friend.
Another man who also witnessed the drowning mourned the death and warned about the precautions that should be taken when entering the sea. “My condolences to everyone in the family. He was on the beach at the time, despair took over everyone trying to pass the information to the firefighters, who fought hard trying to rescue him. But it was not possible because God has another mission for him. For friends and family there is pain and emptiness that only time will heal and pass on to eternal longing. My advice to those who go down to the coast, be careful and take care of your children, the sea is very treacherous”, he wrote.
The family, who lives in Pinhais, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, did not disclose information about the wake and burial of Kelvyn’s body.
