On Sunday, firefighters from the Želiezovce Fire Station pulled him out of the pond in the cadastre of the Šarovce village in the Levice district a drowned and frozen person. This was confirmed by the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Nitra. According to the police, this is a 25-year-old man from Šarovice, for whom a search was announced.
The man left the house on December 25, and has not heard from anyone since. Family, neighbors and the police searched for him, and the canine rescue service also joined.
An examining doctor was also called to the pond, who did not find any signs of violence on the spot. An autopsy was ordered. The police have received a criminal report in the case of manslaughter, confirmed the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force, Jana Šinková.
