Hot party snack it’s the hit of every meeting. Crispy snails made of puff pastry, filled aromatic salami, creamy cheese and expressive gherkins this is a combination that will surely please your guests. Simple to prepare, yet full of flavor – it’s a snack that will spice up any party.
To prepare this dish, you will need:
- 2 packages of puff pastry,
- 200 g of yellow cheese,
- 200 g salami or chorizo,
- 250 g gherkins,
- 1 yolk.
Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator 30 minutes before starting work. Grate the yellow cheese on a vegetable grater or cut it into thin slices. Cut the salami into thin slices and then into strips. Cut the ends off the cucumbers and then cut them into thin slices.
Cut the sheet of puff pastry into 3 equal sheets. Place cucumber slices (at equal distances), portions of sliced salami and grated cheese on each of them. Roll the dough into a roll, cut it into strips about 3 cm thick and place the snails on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush the top with beaten egg yolk.
Put the tray with snacks in the oven preheated to 200°C for about 15-20 minutes, until the snails are crispy and golden.
Serve the warm party snack immediately after removing it from the oven. Be sure to prepare sauces for this: garlic, tomato or thousand island.
