The German prosecutor’s office on Monday charged three people with dual Russian-German citizenship with spying for the Russian secret services. They allegedly prepared sabotage actions in cooperation with a Russian agent. TASR informs about it based on the report of the DPA agency.
The main suspect is Dieter S., whose the police arrested him in Bavaria in April together with three other persons. According to law enforcement authorities, on German soil he was meeting with a member of the Russian secret service. The accused spoke with the Russian agent in particular about carrying out arson and bomb attacks to industrial facilities and infrastructure used by the military. According to the prosecutor’s office, it was attempt to disrupt military aid, which Germany provides Ukraine.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the targets of the sabotage were the facilitieswhich are used by allied units from the USA, but also loading station and tool factory. Dieter S. according to the indictment took photos and videos of individual objects. He then passed this information on to an agent of the Russian secret service. In the past, the man was accused of fought in Ukraine on the side of the self-proclaimed separatist Donetsk People’s Republic. Two accomplices have been working with him since March of this year. The arrest warrant for one of them has been suspended and the other accused is still at large.
