Wedding of Caroline of Monaco and Stefano Casiraghi: this original dress, far from royal clichés, that the princess wore

At almost 38 years old, Sandra Ratesson has seen many television shows, hosts and reality TV candidates. A member of the Club Dorothée generation, she saw the appearance but also the disappearance of numerous programs. She saw the scene of physical rapprochement between Loana and Jean-Edouard in the Loft Story swimming pool live thanks to a period ADSL subscription.

More than 40 years ago, Caroline of Monaco married Stefano Casiraghi and the princess opted for a very original outfit, far from what one imagines for a personality from a royal family. Photo and decryption of her sublime outfit.

Wedding of Caroline of Monaco and Stefano Casiraghi: this original dress, far from royal clichés, that the princess wore

41 years ago, on December 29, 1983, married Stefano Casiraghi in her second marriage (her first husband was with Philippe Junot). And for this occasion, the princess opted for an original dress for a royal bride. The eldest daughter of Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III said yes to her husband in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Monaco. A rather sober union with the businessman who is passionate about water sports, but marked by Caroline’s outfit.

In fact, the bride had opted for a creation from the house of Dior. A wrap dress, made in champagne silk crepe with a bow at the waist. Other original features were its slightly puffed sleeves and its length – it showed part of her legs. Nothing to do with the more ostentatious wedding dresses of Lady Di or Letizia of Spain. Moreover, a simple ribbon was used as a headband in her loose hair. As recalled Galathis asymmetrical piece hid the pregnancy of Caroline of Monaco who was then expecting her first child, who was born on June 8, 1984.

Caroline of Monaco’s other wedding dresses

During her first marriage to Philippe Junot, the princess had already opted for a Dior creation. This one had pretty volumes formed by an imposing skirt, puffed sleeves and a transparent bodice. A creation that inspired that of his daughter.

Finally, on her 41st birthday, in 1999, Caroline of Monaco married Prince Ernest August of Hanover, Duke of Brunswick and Lunenburg, Prince of Great Britain and Ireland, head and heir of the House of Hanover. For this third union she opted for a powder blue Chanel suit, composed of a long straight double-breasted jacket decorated with jeweled buttons and a brooch. Another outfit full of style and sobriety!
