Marcos Douglas da Silva Souza, 26 years old, was found lifeless this Tuesday morning (31), floating in the waters of Igarapé São Francisco, located on Rua da Banana, in the Mocinha Magalhães neighborhood, in Rio Branco.

According to information from witnesses, Douglas ran past a farm on Sunday afternoon and threw himself into the Igarapé São Francisco. Still according to reports, he ran away as if he was being chased or in an outbreak, but no one was seen behind him.
Residents started looking for him on Sunday. The Military Fire Department was called and assisted in the search, but there was initially no success.
The residents themselves continued the search, and a group of young people, together with Pastor Edmundo, found the body on Tuesday morning.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, and an advanced support ambulance was sent to the scene to certify the death.
The Military Police were at the scene and isolated the area for criminal investigation work. After the necessary procedures, the body was rescued by firefighters and sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for the necessary procedures.
A police report was registered at the Civil Police Station, where the case will be investigated.
