It’s worth remembering that sometimes games also go the other way and become films, with different levels of success. On December 25th, Sonic 3: The Movie premiered, with considerable success based on Sega’s mascot, while others such as the adaptation of Borderlands for the big screen disappointed and were among the worst of the year. For 2025, there are already new films based on games planned, such as Minecraft: The Movie, with actor Jack Black, in April and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 for the end of the year.
