Instagram filters are really going away. No more perfect skin, mouth with fake lip fillers, grimaces with enlarged eyes and mouths. It is still possible to use the feature, but from January 14th, the social network will begin to remove all filters created by users. Sad end for those who exercised the right to be beautiful, at least on the internet*.

The measure generated controversy among internet users, as filters are the favorite of those who enjoy recording stories and reels. There are those who even believe that the absence of the filter will result in a reduction in the content posted.
The change comes with the end of the Meta Spark platform, used to create the effects. However, those filters produced by Meta itself will continue to exist. In other words, you can still put on a few layers of Paris and hide dark circles or fill your face with hearts using the ready-made filters on the social network.
